Yes, today’s update on Tonlé Sap Lake is indeed the 400th entry i’ve written.

Well, not entirely.

It’s the 400th entry on this site. But quite a number are backdated to long before I even started this wordpress blog. My first official update was somewhere in October 2006. Since then, the site has grown both in content and in readership.

With 2009, I plan to fully write up my 2008 Around the World trip, and of course do the same for events since then.

Other future plans include that of adding a gallery, and of breaking down tags so that cities can be accessed on their own individual page, much as ‘people’ currently are.

Actually, I have even bigger plans. But i’ll keep them under wraps for now.

Earlier today I had my 20,000th view! If you look under the tag ‘milestones’, you’ll notice that the 5,000 mark was passed this time a year ago. The upward trend is encouraging and will hopefully inspire me to continue improving the site with better, more useful, interesting entries.

One other thing – those who clicked on ‘Countries’ on the sidebar would have got broken links over the past couple of days. This is because wordpress made minor alterations to the linking of categories and tags again, without telling me. I’ve fixed this manually and it should all be working now.

I’m proud to say Malawi is the 100th country this blog has been viewed from. This epic event happened today at 17:32 GMT. If you are that person – I salute you!

January’s views were the second highest since this blog was created, although there have been some drops in the past week or two – most likely due to my lack of updates…

Which will come very soon.
