Well, tiaw.co.nr is essentially dead. All that html was making my head sore. WordPress is easier to update and better looking. Add in Flickr and you’ve got the perfect travel/photo journal website, only without all the work.
This domain has just recently passed the 5,000 visitor mark. Now for many, that is not a particularly high number. Fair enough. But given that i’ve done no advertising, only given the link to a few friends (of which most still have dial-up and cannot be bothered checking it anymore), and that my counter does not include my own visits, I’m quite pleased.
I started there is another world in November 2006. Yes, you may notice, there are a lot of entries before then. Let’s just say I did a lot of backdating, from a mixture of old photos, livejournal entries and write-ups on tiaw.co.nr.
The first few months I barely made 100 visitors. March saw over 200. April, and the numbers shot up to over 800. This was probably due to my Italy trip – newly tagged entries are more likely to be found.
The figures held until the summer, when, I wasn’t updating much, and as a result, only several hundred experienced the awesomness of my site. I was away all of September, so they did not rise much during that time. But as soon as I began uploading my Spain and Peru trip, the hits once more soared.
So far, October has been my most viewed month, with over 900 visitors, and it’s not even over yet.
