The tags episode should be over! I’ve decided just to stick with them for now, with the one minor change of removing ‘counties, states and regions’.

Once again, any feedback is welcome, and although I could change my mind in future, they are probably here to stay!

Continuing on from my post of a few days ago, I have taken the plunge and gone with a widget of tags for a while.

There are a lot of them, perhaps too many, and they do seem to clutter up the page a bit.

On the other hand, they make navigation 10 times easier. And make for interesting browsing.

Let me know what you think, either by commenting, email or talking to me ;)

Edit: Arrrrrrrrr. Had another look and I don’t like it. Maybe i’ll change my mind, again.

I have been getting more and more comments to moderate recently, possibly due to the increasing visitors (over 1,100 this month now). The majority are for very old entries. Check Las Vegas for one. There are 3 categories of comments i’ve found:

1) Those from friends and people I know, which I will almost always allow.

2) Those from randomers which, do not include any spam or links to their own personal blog/website.

3) Those from randomers which do.

I am not against allowing randomers who comment having their site linked to their name. However, if their comment is a single word or less than a sentence, it does begin to seem like a lazy attempt to just plug their own site – which I myself have never done.

In this case, I can and will remove the link which they have provided, leaving only their comment.

As I’ve said, I have no problem displaying links to commentors websites. But some effort please, so I don’t mistake you for a spam artist.

Of course, it is highly unlikely anyone who it involves will actually read this.
